Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has announced its extension of the 2019 tax filing deadline due to the global health pandemic of COVID-19.
The extended filing dates for 2019 are:
- June 1, 2020 to submit personal returns to CRA
- Tax amounts that become owing on or after today before September 2020 will not incur any penalties or interest and can be paid after August 31, 2020
CRA will be recognizing electronic signatures as a having met the signature requirements.
Should you still wish to have your tax return submitted ASAP we are offering digital alternatives for dropping off your return.
If you cannot digitally submit your documents we have other options for you as well.
